This book describes an old fisherman who has a spirit of not saying defeat. Although he didnt catch a fish in 84 days, he still had hope and confidence every day. He believed that he could catch fish. So he made a long voyage. I admire this old fisherman very much. Think about myself. Sometimes when I do something and encounter a little setback, I want to give up. But with the encouragement of my parents, I persisted.
During the long voyage, he met a huge marlin. After three days of hard fighting, though his hand was cramped again and again, he grabbed the fishing rod as hard as he could; though his hand was marked with blood marks by the fishing line, he continued to insist and finally caught the fish. When I read this, I thought of that climbing. When I was halfway up the mountain, I was too tired. I fell twice on the road, and my hand was cut by the thorns on the side of the road. I wanted to give up for a time and didnt want to climb any more. But my mother encouraged me to say, "the goal is right in front of my eyes, and I will be at the top of the mountain.
